MPG to a DVD +R

I am very new to this so I hope this is not a real dump question. But can anyone tell me if I can copy a MPG file to a DVD disk using NERO and then play on my stand alone DVD player. If I can what menu do I use, DVD-ROM ISO, or DVD video.

Hi I do not think that this is possible without purchasing the nero svcd/dvd mpeg2 plugin from the nero shop, as the Mpeg file wil need to be re-encoded to .VOB's and I dont know anyone or any software that can do that
