I did the whole sonix tut., but when I go to build the iso, it says it couldn't find the system.cnf file. I can see it plain as day in the list. Is there any way to fix this?

Finally..............
After 2 days, I got it..........Hurray..........

I kept getting "couldn't locate godofwar\system.cnf" when using iml/ims files sonix had put in his tutoraial. My conclusion is that the ones provided by sonix are either corrupted or just not working version

I Just now took Jizmak's idea/input & created GOW.IML & IMS using cddvdgen, once this was done I opened apache2, build iso, & all worked well no more error message. (why didn't I try this earlier....)
Believe it or not I wasted 2 days on this & now have a working version (actually now have a 3.47 iso, ready for burning which I'm doing now using nero) once I've finished burning, I'll tell you if it works on PS2.
I have DMS4pro chip & using Toxic.
Here is the thread.

When you are building the .iso you should have 6 files like this (gow.000 gow.001 gow.002 gow.003 gow.iml)

They should also be alone is a serate folder(NOT GODOFWAR) example...../god

You can then do a dos command copy to build the .iso also

copy /b gow.000 + gow.001 gow.a
copy /b gow.002 + gow.003 gow.b
copy /b gow.a + gow.b Godofwar.iso

that is the Dos command's for combining the files.

I have no damn clue what the hell that means. Do I need a certain program do do that? I have everything done up to the iml file, but as I said before it says its missing the system file.

This is the same problem i had when i did it. This is what youve gotta do. You have to have it so you have your GOD folder on your C drive (at least thats what i did). So youve got C\GOD. In that folder you put your .iml and .ims files. In the GOD folder you also have your GODOFWAR folder. In the GODOFWAR folder thats where you have all of your rebuilt game files. Make sure that you dont have the .iml and .ims files in your GODOFWAR folder, thats what i had at first and it kept saying couldnt find system.cnf.

still having the same problem. did u make a different folder for the save, or place it in the god folder. the way I just put it was c\god iml/ims file and then inside the god folder is the godorwar with the rebuilt. I still get the system error.

Im not sure but mine were capitalized. Try changing the folders to GOD and GODOFWAR. May be case sensitive.
