ok heres the deal

this is the 1st time iv ever copied a xbox game
from what iv read you have to ftp the game to your pc from the xbox and then make a xiso and then burn
id think there would be a faster and easy way to do this like do a raw burn or somthing but im not shure if you can

heres my problem

and well its taking all night its been like 6 hours allready and my ftp says it has another 10 hours to go :(

somehow this dont seem right ......i would think it wouldnt take a whole day to back up a game to a dvd

im on windows Xp im on a netgear router

err can someone please tell me a faster way of back uping up games

or help me fix my extreme slowness problem here ty

Either your network is messed up or your IP settings are or (and this one happend to me) you are using a crap FTP program.

I use FlashFXP (ftp), that gets me a great transfer rate and only takes 30 mins to move a game from my Xbox to my PC. Try it, if it doesn't make a difference, you need to look at how your network is setup.

When you do finally get the game on your PC, you will need to patch the default.xbe file, using something like Quix and... ah, there are guides and old posts to look at!

s8nsch1ld is right. It only takes me 20 min, depending on the size of the game. Its should not take you more than 30 min. check your setting on your xbox like s8nsch1ld said.

So many games, so little time.

The CD and DVD drives on your computer will not read *.xbe files, which are the files found in your xbox games, that is why you have to FTP to get the files from the Xbox' DVD drive.
