Are you using the latest and greatest update? If not, then you need to.
Search Spanglish and you will find people having varing degree of success so far. Most of us will have to wait until next week to try. It is doubtful if any new encryptions are being used.

hey karatone i backed up spangish two times, one with decrypter and one with 1click dvd copy both work fine. DVD43 free and decrypter handled this ARCoss protection
Nero Recode2 or Shrink using deep analysis and AEC/ fabdecrypter or anydvd running in the background/ IMGBurn to burn/main movie only mode= perfect.

Spanglish:
I get to 37% on preview with DVD Shrink and it stops cold. Have a hard time getting the program closed. I need instructions on how to get the job done like the ones Scub Pete posted on how to use DVD Shrink & Decrypter. I'm somewhat computer literate but would like detailed instructions on how to get around the problem.

flip 218, I tried that with Grudge & couldn't figure out how to do it. It said something about too big a file, does anyone have instructions on how to use DVD Decrypter 1st and then go back to Shrink to make the copy or do you go back to Shrink and then back to decrypter again to make a copy???
I always use Shrink first and then Decrypter pops up and I copy it. The only times I have had rouble is on Sony Revolution DVD movies.

rgh,
Do you know how to rip with DVD Decrypter?
To open a video_ts folder, open shrink -> open file (instead of open disc)
To open an ISO, open shrink -> click File -> Open disc image

To all who may still be having problems backing up SPANGLISH: If you tried what you think may be everything after searching the forums, try UPDATING YOUR FIRMWARE FOR PC DVD BURNER!
I'm not a novice at this but even those of us who are profficient tend to overlook some obviuous things from time to time.
I had the latest of DVD Decrypter a day after the update. I tried backing up Spanglish...it didn't work. I was stuck without AnyDVD because I let the trial period run out and don't have the money to purchase it. DVD43 didn't work and I'd already tried to back it up with DVD Shrink which also didn't work. I went through no video/audio to video/no audio and host of problems I'm sure you guys have seen. I frequent a site called SHOP4TECH.COM for supplies and other PC and home office needs. When pricing blank DVDs, I noticed they had a link to update the firmware to most burners, so I did.
Once I did that, I pulled my saved to HDD of Spanglish, ran it through DVD Shrink with full analysis, burned using CloneDVD and OH! HAPPY DAY!
Oh! One last thing, a lot of you would do well to search the forums for answers and save the new thread postings for real problems to solve. Raise your hand if your guilty of this. Mine is up!
Happy Backing!

Flip, no I don't & if those are the instructions I'm still a little short, do you have it step by step for the computer semi literate.
I'll try the firmware update as YOBUZZB says but I didn't get close to the burn part, couldn't even rip it.
Thanks again for your help.

cproject,
Go to Edit> Preferences> Target DVD size> change that to Custom> on the right change the size to 4300 MB
rgh
Do this:
1. Make a folder on your Desktop> call it Rip Movies
2. Insert Movie in either DVD burner or DVD-Rom and click cancel when it asks you what to use to open the movie
3. Open DVD Shrink> click Open Disc> Shrink does quick analysis
4. Movie Only Option
a. Go to Re-author and Click
b. Under Main movie slide the main movie to the left under DVD Structure
c. You can now remove the languages you do not want and the audio you do not want.
5. Go to Edit and click Preferences. Now you will see a Blue Box that says -" DVD-5(4.7 g.b.). Now Change that to Custom and to the right of that change the # to 4300. This will not now let you burn to the outer rim.
6. Look under File I/O and make sure" Enable Burning with Nero" does not have a check mark in the box.
7. Click Select Backup Target > click" Iso Image file and burn with DVDDecrypter"
8. Select Target Image File> Browse>esktop> Rip Movie ( file you made)
9. click O.K
10. It will now do analysis and then encode the movie and automatically burn with DVDDecrypter

Car,Mike, Shrink wont do the quick analysis, it gets to 37%, freezes the prieview screen goes black and then it is difficult to get Shrink closed. I have to control alt delete and then it takes some doing even after that to get it closed where i can do anything else with the computer. So I have a new copy of Splanglish and I'm still not able to back it up???? Anybody, anyone have some instructions on how to get by this?
PS: this is the second copy of Spanglish so it ain't the DVD. It's the protection or whatever is in it.

You don't have to be a member, but it's good to join so they notify you when there's an update. It doesn't cost anything! You need version 3.5.4.0.
Are you running DVD43 or AnyDVD in the background, if so disable them and try Decrypter again then Shrink and burn. Also, if you've got anything else running, stop any and everything running in the background, even IM if you've got it. Check your task manager to be sure. (Ctrl, Alt, Delete)1x You can also go through MSCONFIG to disable programs at Startup. Disable only the progs your familiar with. Restart. Run Decrypter then Shrink and burn. Should be ok.
