Hi everybody. I have a JVC Digital Video Camera GR-D71. I recently installed Adobe Premiere and I am trying to capture video from my camera. I installed the drivers and everything and I plugged in the USB cable that came with the camera. However, I can't figure out how to capture the video! I go to Capture, and the window says Capture device offline. I have also tried Windows movie maker. It says "An interface has too many methods to fire events from." What should I do?

I tried Virtual Dub and it did work, only I got no audio and the quality was really crappy. I'll try fiddling with settings.

One other quick update. I tried out Image Mixer and the quality was far better. However, it is still not up to par with the quality on the camcorder, and it skips a little. From this I guess I can conclude that the quality of the picture is directly related to the software. So, I just wanted to know if anyone could tell me what the best video capture software is?

Don't know your camera, but usually you do not capture your video through USB but through Firewire.
Since you are succesful in capturing your material through USB, looks like yit is one of those camera's whhere you can use USB for low quality video capturing. If you use Firewire, you will see no difference in the quality of whatevewr program you use.
