Hey folks I need some help.

I recently got my PS2 Chipped and everything works fine however when i try to play original psx games i get a loud noise from the drive and it does not play them.

Is there anyway i can burn the games to a dvd disc?

Initially i thought my chip wouldnt let me play dvds either however if i hold reset it boots them up?

Hope you can help

I do not believe that you can put multiple ps1 games onto a dvd disc. But I know that you can put multiple ps2 games onto a single dvd disc.

Chips have different methods to boot up different types of discs. Perfect example is how you have to hold the reset button down in order to play dvd movies. Holding the reset button down more than likely just disables your mod chip in your ps2.

Do you know your boot method for ps1 games with your mod chip? If not, let us know what kind of mod chip you have and we'll tell you the correct boot sequence.

Here is what I have to do with my chip...

1) Turn on the Ps2 and put in your PS1 game

2) Hold the reset button down until your ps2 turns off.

3) Now, hold the reset button down until you see the very first startup screen (should hold down for about 2 seconds)

Your Ps1 game should now startup, and if not keep trying and make sure not to hold the reset button down to long when your starting up, because you do not want to disable the chip (this will happen if you hold it down for 5 seconds or more)

Contact the person where you got the chip installed or where you go the ps2 from and ask them what chip is in the ps2, as it is important to know that. You can check yourself, but you will have to take apart your ps2 down to the motherboard, and you could distach some wires in doing this, so be CAREFUL!!

If you have anymore questions, you will get the quickest response from me in this forum, http://www.geocities.com/modchipzone/

This is the forum I am always checking most often...
