i have the memory card export on CD but i dont have swap magic to load it to the memory card, so i was wondering can i use HDadvance to save the MCexploit to the hd and run it from there to load it to the memory card, (i hope i explained that right)
any help appreciated!

Ha... Is there anything i don't know!

i don't know much about exploit but i do know that using Action Replay Evo that comes with usb drive make things easier. from there, you can put the usb drive in your usb slot on your computer, transfer the exploit file onto your usb. take the usb drive out and put it in the ps2 usb slot. you have to have action replay evo disc. then you can transfer the exploit to the MC.

ok, it took me a while to make the mc exploit CD and im still not sure if its right. i followed the instructions etc. i tried to load it to the hd using HDadvance 2.0 CD disk and slide tool, but when i clicked ok it said not a ps2 disk(dunno y). im thinking i need to try with swapmagic to test the MC exploit disk but im not willing to spend £20 on sm when i dont need it to put backups on the hd. i dont know any1 else who has sm so i cant borrow it. if any one else can try this then plz let me know if it works cos then i will know its my exploit disk thats wrong. cheers

You know, i just thought about it, i don't think it would work because HDL\Advance boot from the SLUS|SLES,etc. file on your game disk. The exploit cd doesn't have one..sorry i didn't even think of that. £20 for the SM is worth it though, since then you can go the fliptop route and do all kinds of stuff. Or if youre like me and have an old Gameshark laying around, you can use that to boot the exploit with the fliptop method.

There is a website where they sell memcards with the exploit already installed on it.

the idea isnt too save the exploit to the hdd so as it runs the hd on startup. the idea is to save the exploit cd to the hdd so i can save the exploit to the mem card as i do not have swapmagic to run the non official ps2 disk. get the idea?

Hi to all,

I was just wondering if anyone knows why when i go to boot up the ftp software which i have on my ps2 hdd (following the tutorial by navi95 and other similar tutorials) it gets so far and stops at "PS2HDD" in the list thats loading, it just stops there and does nothing and its driving me mad cos ive tried so many different ways and versions of the software and still get the same result.Im trying to connect through a wireless router to my pc but have also tried direct connection to the pc using a crossover CA5 cable. Any suggestions from anyone as it would be a great help.

Thanks in advance.

i use ExecFTP v 0.68 without any problems. If u use an earlier version it wont boot correctly as from 0.68 they are stand alone but if u have an earlier version it will be looking for other files to boot the server correctly.

I could upload it to sum web-space if ya need it.

I did this with my HD Advanced 2.0, and it worked. Load up HD Advanced CD, convert the exploit cd to hdd. Dont put the HD Advanced CD in, keep the exploit cd in and boot the file converted. It will then take the contents of the cd to the memory card. Wal-La no Swap Magic needed. It worked for me so it will work for you.

PS2 scph 39001 (v7) (unmodded)
8mb memcard
network adapter
Seagate 200GB hdd
HDAdvance 2.0
CodeBreaker 8.1
32MB USB flash drive
PSX trigger disk [wild arms2 demo disk]

trying to do the MC exploit using the codebreaker tutorial on exploitstation. the archive i downloaded had 3 errors. the archive folder apparently had corrupt headers. Q: will the errors in the archive present a problem?? i followed the steps to the letter and i didnt skip any steps. i got the disc id [scus_945.92 wild arms2 demo]. created the title.db file. drag and drop the title.db file into ps2 Save Builder. Q: is there supposed to be a specific order that i drag and drop the files because it alphabetized everything?? i saved the exploit with a new name and copied it to my USB drive. used codebreaker 8.1 to copy from USB to MC. step 08 on exploitstation said if everything was done correctly, the exploit should open the ps2menu screen after a few secs, but the GAME continuted to load. i assumed that it was the trigger disc, so i used jade cocoon [slus_008.54], tekken 3 [slus_004.04]. the process was VERY VERY easy, but the results are not what the website say they should be. what do i need to do to make this work??

nevermind about my question everyone. i found the answer. i was not running the independence installer at first which is why it didnt work. then i used version 3.x and got a white screen, so i dropped down to version 2.x and now my exploit works.

has anyone tried to exploit a bigger sized memory card? i forgot the name of the card i have but it's 16MB. i tried the exploit, and nothing happened. is it because the card is not an original ps2 memcard?

I never thought of this, but can you put the Swap Magic on hdloader/hdadvance and load it.Then from there boot Swap Magic off the hdloader/hdadvance to install the exploit.SuperXL I am not real sure bro, your best bet would probably come from getting a second memcard. If you buy a larger memcard you will probably end up with garbage bytes when you install, not real reliable man.I also have the 16mb memcard and it doesn't seem to handle as well as the official memcards. You know what would be nice though,if you could use a pen drive to store the exploit save and launch from a pen drive(they can store alot of space, might be possible with ARMax or similiar 3rd party companies in the future).I don't know if that would be possible though, that would be nice if later on someone adds this function in.
