No you have to patch the games urself. there arent that many that u have to patch though some examples are mercenaries, the guy game, and nba street v3, search the forums for help.
As for the slide card, dont even bother with that stupid thing. Just take off ur ps2 case and the unscrew the lid for the CD case and after u put ur SMD 3.3 in, it tells u to "insert disc" take off the top of the CD tray and put in the backup and then put back on the lid. Much easier!
