x-files- protect or serve freezes???

The game freezes after about 10 seconds of going through menus, using sm3.3 with fliptop and dvd's that work for everything else.
Anyone had the same problem?

Nope, but it freezes for me off HDloader, when i try to overwrite a previous save. I have to go to an empty slot and save there, go back through my memorycard with the PS2 browser and erase all the extra saves.
