I've been trying to rip a DVD for a while now, but when I reach VTS_01_1 it says

[IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v502/pretty_lettuce/dvdthing.jpg[/IMG]

The rest of the files are fine, but that one is cut off. Is it to do with scratches on the DVD or the software I'm using?

Thats exactly what it means either scratched/dirty or damaged media will cause that problem. Also fo future refference when putting an image in you must use lower case letter's like "img" not "IMG" :-)
