ive been reading the forum and saw all the advice on how to backup your games.so naturally,i thought my software wouldnt work.but tried it anyway to make sure. i backed up a copy of ncaa final four2004 (a crappy game to backup but it was just an experimenr). just got my magic swap/slide tool the other day and tried it out and it worked.im usind drag n drop burning software that was bundled with the sony vaio computer.it was very easy to use, just click on dvd rom icon in the my computer window and drag it to a box designated for backing up.drop it off then click on the box.after it reads the disc you swap it out with a blank disc then click on the box again and it burns it. simple aint it.i also made a backup of star wars battlefront and dragonballz sagas.dbz saga works great while star wars is a little skippy.i think that has to do with the dvd media im using(verbatim dvd-r)or maybe my ps2 (it is alittle run down and been operated on several times, even had its power switch ribbon ripped out then painstakingly put back in).but all the games copied completely and play.need more dvd-rs (dont mess with dvd+r,they have alow dvd player compatibilty problem)before i can backup more games to see if d n d can backup all kinds of games.im thinking it can.i mean, 3 for 3 with out any major problems.but i might use dvd+r for games that have a high graphical content like star wars bf (4.3gb).and i will have to find a way to backup up games bigger than 4.5gb(d n d dont shrink programs).

DVD Decrypter will copy ps2 games fine.

If your ps2 is version 4 or newer you
can use +r media.

Also SW:Battlefront has to be rebuilt,
to work properly.

Drag and Drop SUX!

But if you like then thats cool.

yeah DVD Decrypter will work but you first have to run it thru DVD Decrypter properly first.and so far ive seen alot of people having trouble with that.plus it is free unlike d n d.but i was referring to people who alresdy have the program and dont know it can copy ps2 games and people who are interested in a SIMPLE way to backup games, unlike yourself.
i buy dvd-r because i also backup dvd movies and my dvd dont play dvd+r.but might need a small stash of dvd+r depending on if they do the job.
i dont know about this rebuild process but it sounds like someone OVER anylizing dvd coping.have to see for myself,it might be necessary i just dont know at this point.
SHUT UP, and speak for yourself:"no one cares for your program"and if im boring you go click on a porn site and go play with yourself.

No I just dont like people that say things
that arent exactly true.

There are a lot of newbies that come to these forums
and they really need to get GOOD information.

Sorry Mod's I was just a wee upset about the stick comment.

WTF is going on here? Jizmak, ease up on the guy. This isn't like you to slam someone right off the bat. Everyone has the right to post what they think will work and everyone also has the right to dispute it in a reasonable manner so let's all take a breath and chill out.

cyepumk, hey thats cool. To be honest, Drag and Drop has never crossed my mind to backup any games. I have Viao too, but i don't ever use Drag and Drop. If nothing else, at least now we know it works. Not that i'll ever use it, but i guess it's an alternative for people with Viao's or any other computer that has it, to backup cd based PS2 games without Alcohol or something else. :)
