I have an idea that i want to test, but i don't know where to get the source material. I have an idea that the original files at those locations can not be read only because they have no name, and therefore can not be accessed by a desktop. But, the PS2 will do a sector scan in order to find that particular code, thus bypassing the TOC.

The theory involves using the source code for the original modchip developed in hong kong that bombards the cpu with the code to verify the region so that the DVD will boot properly.

If i can get a hold of the code for just the stream of SCEA SCEE SCEA (preferably SCEA), just to test. Then use a C-compiler to displace Dummy 0s so that the code is at the appropriate secter on the cd and save it as a .Bin file

Then, using Nero, burn the BIN file to the boot sector of the cd which supercedes the TOC, sort of emulating the PS2 format for their disks.

That way when you copy all the other PS2 files, the disk is detected as being PS2 formated. hopefully eliminating the SWAP necessary to play the game and launching it straight from COGSWAP.

It requires a lot of help, because i don't know where to get ahold of these resources. Please help, I'm at a loss as to wether this will even work or not.
