I'm having probs trying to backup my office space dvd using dvdxcopy and dvd shrink. it seems to lock up my system (specifically the file "video_TS.VOB") whenever I try to burn this. the specific error is "missed file" with dxdxcopy and dvd shrink wont even load up the dvd info at all! wondering if there's some kind of special encryption or maybe some other type of burning software i might try/use...

Use DVDDecrypter to rip the file to HD and then use Shrink

Thanks for the info... Just tried DVD Decrypter and it came up with an error of about the same type. I think I just have a f__ked up disk.
Just to speculate, I own the OFFICE SPACE dvd and therefore purchased the license to view it and whatever... Could I (in theory) rent/borrow it from someone else and burn a copy for my backup? thoughts?

I have backed up my copy of Office Space (in the UK) with no problems at all, so it is likely that it is your copy of the disc that is faulty.
