swap magic is ONLY for games. Backup movies boot right up, audio cds boot right up, mp3 cds don't work. What ps2 games have you tried and what brand dvdr did you burn to?

It does try to read the cd for a couple of seconds but then says not valid ps2 disc. I tried call of duty. i burnt it with dvd decryptor and another copy with Nero. both at very small speeds.

i'd try a different game. For burnt movies and cd's, just put them in your ps2, don't use swap magic. You are hitting x once you put the backup game in right? You could also try hitting square.

i have a v9 with a fliptop. You shouldn't burn movies over 4x. How did you copy the game?

Hey guys! Good news. It works! I found out why it wasn't working. It kinda depends on how u put the dvd in the tray.Try to touch the dvd with the tip of your finger and see if it spins a bit....if it does then it will work :D that was it. and i tried the movies and they work also perfectly. i remember i tried once a couple and didn't work but i guess i was wrong...maybe it was a bad dvd copy or blank one :D i don't know, i'm just happy it works. I burnt call of duty with dvd decryptor at 2x i think and then also with Nero at 1x so i have 2 great copies :D I am so happy. Now i'm just gonna wait for things to show up for the psp that my gf just bought me :) peace. tks guys for the help.
