The way I got it booting with SwapMagic DVD V2.

1) Boot SM.
2) Slide tool, put in boot DVD. (I have the DVD version of the boot disk.)
3) Once it's loaded, hit eject, slap in the SM DVD. I chose to go big with the TOC, and put in GT4.
4) Hit X. This will refresh the TOC.
5) Slide tool, take out disk, put in Gods of War.
6) Boot.

I didn't know if maybe it was a TOC problem with GoW, as it's a dual layer game, but I figured GT4's TOC must be huge, so used that. Don't know if that's relevant.

I have the confusion rip of GoW and all I have to do is run the SM DVD disk and then the GoW backup. I have had no problems so far.

I have SM 3.3, one of the very first PS2s that ever came out, game burned on a Verbatim 8x -R at 1x speed on a Pioneer A107 with Toast 6.0

Erm... Crap, trying to think where I found it now. A quick check of Google doesn't turn it up. You MIGHT be able to get it off EDonkey/Emule.

I had to get it because the CD version rarely worked for me. The benefit is it loads a lot quicker as well:)

And I can confirm that a version 7 PS2 using Swap Magic V2 DVD does NOT boot the ripped Gods of War backup. It might not need the TOC refresh either. I just did it to save myself a reboot if it did.
