8x dvd+r media w/ microsolutions backpack Model 224101

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck using Memorex 8x dvd+r media on a microsolutions backpack dvdrw Model 224101. I have tried to locate firmware on their site but there is none. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Memorex +8x:

Memorex DVD+R 8X (CMC MAG E01)
Memorex DVD+R 8X (PHILIPSC08)
Memorex DVD+R 8X (PRODISCR03)

You notice at least 3 different manufacturers making the same memorex +8x discs. The Prodiscr03's should be the better of all of them,buts it's very hard to know which ones you buy them.You can usually find a lot better media for the same price or even cheaper.


This is why the majority of AD members usually avoid memorex. Some members seem to like them and quite a few have trouble with them.

When it comes to backing up your dvd collection, media quality is the most important part. The poor media can screw us up in many,many ways.Not only trying to get your discs to successfully burn,but the quality issues magnefy when you play those backups on your stand alone players.Just search through some of these forums on playback issues and majority of these issues can be prevented with good to high quality media-especially if you want to try burning at 8x.
