Question about DVD2SVCD D2SRoBa method.

I wanted to use this method to put multiple shows on a DVD...But in the guide it says that I have to merge files which I really don't want to do. I want to do it like DIVXtoDVD where I can just select multiple AVIs at a time and it will encode them all neatly into chapters. I never tried the method but can it do just that??
