Problem With Movie in mpeg format

I dont know if this is the right forum for this question, I tried searching for the answer but I just screw up each time.I have a movie on my laptop on D drive, its too big to burn to a CD-ROM and my laptop will not burn to DVD discs. So im kinda stuck trying to figure out how to get it off my laptop and onto my other computer which has nero and dvd burners.

Right now the movie is in Mpeg format, i downloaded Imtoo to convert them too DVD formart (vob) so that i could use dvd shrink to make them smaller to fit on CD-roms and then transfer them to the other computer. But once in VOB format nothing will read it or see it, DVDshrink says it has no IFO and i used IFOedit to add an IFO but it says its an invalid VOB. Can anyone help this noobie out?
