I use a combination of dvd decrypter and dvd shrink to burn dvd movies to dvd-r discs. Everything worked fine until I inserted a dvd and the message states: device not ready (medium not present). The drive will not read any discs I insert.

HELP!

OK is it the blank media or the origanal pressed dvd you wish to burn? Also what are the specs on your burner name etc...

I have a Liteon 16x dvd rom/burner. I rebooted the computer and then it read the disc. Do you know if this burner is compatible with dvd-r discs?

danni79 ,
Welcome to the forum. You will need the model # of the DVD writer. If you can get it go to this site and it will tell you what media it will record to.
http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters

You could also go to the Lite-On site and get the same info.

you could read the box it came in... LOL

maybe..your destination isn't set right in DVDDecypter or
DVDShrink.............. it can change when you change MODE
back and forth also...........

if you have a combo dvd-rom/dvd-burner you will have to let
it read the disks first, then remove it and insert you blank
dvd................

could be media as said.........

good day..............
free................
