I've been wondering if there's a way to copy the files of a DVD to ur computer, and then watch them withuot using the cd. And/or if theres a way to make a wmv file or something out of the dvd files

DVD Decryptor in File mode will rip to a VIDEO_TS folder. Then can direct Power DVD or WinDVD or whatever player to the .IFO file within. If Decryptor used in ISO mode, it will create an image file which can be played in a virtual drive such as provided by Daemon Tools or Nero Image Drive.

@ Lakaigne : you dont actually have to use the programs suggested.Just put your disc in the drive.Right click amd explore the disc. Then just copy and paste both the video_ts and audio_ts folder to your hard drive. Then just rename the folder the name of your movie.

The thing about all of this is I cant get my computer DVDplayer (PCfriendly) to play the dvd files. As far as I know, it only lets you play stuff thats in a dvd drive on your computer. So, could anyone tell me how to fix this or a player i could download?

Mount the ISO image file with Deamon Tools or if you have Nero Ultra, use the Nero Image drive located in Control Panel.

Go to c:\program files\ahead\imagedrive and double click on imagedrive.exe. This will place the control panel item there for you to use. Now once you vae it in control panel simply enable the first image drive and click on the second tab at the top and locate that ISO file. Its a very easy thing to use just two mouse clicks and you are there. The image will show as a drive letter in Explorer and when you first enable it, Auto Insert notification should pop up asking your choice of what to do or you may have it already set to launch your dvd player software. In either case its a piece of cake to setup.

don't know of one ... You can use Shrink.

Open Shrink -> click file -> open disc image -> then in the lower left click the play button.
