what may cause a red screen?

i get a red screen when tring to play hot pursuit2. its not a back up. i installed a CHIPMOD yesturday.

the red screen says please insert a PS2 format disk

does anyone have a clue on what i should do?

nope, no scraches..it does that for all my games..i have to keep pressing reset for GT$ then it works.

does anyone think is might of screw something up with the chip?

try putting disc in then power of at back and power up. now it is in standby mode keep hold of reset button until clouds come up and it shud boot up?????
