So I don't know if I'm just stupid or what.. I found that "freeme" program and tried to run it but it doesn't seem to work.. is there another program that will strip a wmv file of a "liscence" requirement.

I don't mind buying a full copy of a film or video but I at least want to see the sample prior to me doing that and I certainly don't want tons of cookies etc on my computer.
