i got memorex dvds are they good for pss2 backups because its slow on loading and makes noise it seems to me that the laser is having trouble reading it

i don't recommend them if they are -r memorex discs. verbatim are probably your best bet.

Phillips DVD-R 8X work every time for me.
TDK DVD-R 8x or 4X also work well for me
