Greetings everyone. I am new to this forum but not to the mod world, I have done many xbox's and ps2s, but am about to have an anurism thanks to GOW.

I have a buddy who does not have a mod chip in his ps2, he just has HD loader. Ive done a ton of research and I have figured out that I need to update HD Loader. I got the file from exploitstation but am confused out of my mind on how to get it onto the damn ps2 to update HD loader. Can anyone point me to a DECENT tutorial that makes sence? I have looked over all their tutorials and am so confused.

I am looking for clear information on how to update HD Loader. Any help would be greatly appriciate, thanks!!

Thank you for the response. =) I saw the tutorial you suggested when I was researching. I dismissed it because my buddy does not have a mod chip in his ps2...will the ps2 be able to read that written disk though, I was under the assumption a ps2 needed a modchip to do that. He does have a DVD burner...so I am in luck (if ps2's can read the disk) =)

Again thanks!

Ok lets see if I have a decent grasp on things here...

1. Get all the crap I need (ps2, hdloader, game, etc, blah blah blah)
2. Use that process suggested (thanks to your response) that will talk take the advanced DVD (in this case God of War) and turn it into a simpler DVD
3. Take and burn this simpler DVD onto a DVD-R
4. This new simpler build will allow HD Loader to successfully read and backup God of War so that I can play it from my HD so I dont have to put the DVD in every time I want to play.

On another subject, us HD Advance better then HD Loader?? I have a whole list of games that I cant play off my HD. Neo Contra, Viewtiful Joe, etc. Whats the point of having HD loader if half of the games out there dont work?

I followed the God Of War Backup Tutorial from Sonix at www.BackUp Tools.co.uk and burned the backup to a DVD5 without any apparent errors- just as his tutuorial shows. It won't load with HD Loader. I went to exploitstation but like spighead I am a newbie and do not know how to patch the HD Loader.

Can anyone walk me throught this?
