I've had a strange problem I can't seem to figure out...I have a Samsung SM-332 and I'm using Nero 5.5.9.17, and although I can burn everything else fine with the software and drive, I can't seem to burn any .cue/.bin files correctly. Nero reports no errors and acts as if the burn was successful, but when read in any cd-rom drive the cd seems to be a written cd with no contents (blank, ie. no files). However, I just downloaded and tried burning the same .cue/.bin files with FireBurner, and using FireBurner, the .cue/.bin files burn perfectly. I'm guessing this is an issue specific to the Nero/SM-332 combination? Anyone else had similar problems?

-> I hope that you uploaded the .CUE file (and not the .BIN file) first.

I also have noticed that. I often burned coasters with Nero, loading .CUE/BIN files, wasting lots of CDs.

My opinion is that Nero sometimes does not understand properly the required writing Mode.
That is, he writes Mode 1 (PC tracks) instead of Mode 2 Tracks (VCD, PSX) and vice versa.

There are two critical moments in Nero:

1) when you import the image (you need to tell him that the image is RAW Mode 1 or RAW Mode 2)
2) when you write the image (you need to select the proper write mode, MODE1 or MODE2)

I think you should check those issues. I prefer using simpler applications (like old CDRWin, or CloneCD if you need to burn also subchannel data information for protected CDs) because you never burn a coaster.

I just think that Nero seems user friendly but sometimes selecting the proper read/burn options is too tricky...
