Hi all. This is my first post so i will introduce myself. Ive just got a dvd burner and a slide card/swap magic set.

I was wondering whether I need to use a patch on all games i backup. if not which ones do need it and why?
I will be backing up an original copy (i.e. not a download)

Sorry if this is a really silly question, or if theres another thread concerning this.

All help is greatly appreciated.

You only need to patch games that do not work normally becuase they will not work with swap magic. Before you backup a game go to http://www.swapmagicfix.com if its listed there then there is come kind of problem and it will give you the solution to the problem.

you will only need to patch about 5% of the games you will copy.
About 95% will work just fine.
Get yourself DVD Decrypter from the DVD Decrypter home page. It is fast, Free, and easy to use. you can find a Tutorial on using it here in the PS2 General section at the top in a sticky thread.

Games i think need patching are.
Bloodrayne 2- has garbage files
Shadow Of Rome
Fifa Street
NBA Street V3
Mercenaries

games that are dual leyer, meaning yo will not be albe to copy them without rebuilding the ISO
Champions Of Norath & Champions Return To Arms
God Of War
Gran Tourismo 4
The Guy Game
