First let me say that this website has literally taught a novice like me how to burn DVD's. And for weeks I was happily burning away and making copies like crazy. I use DVD Shrink, linked up with Nero. But now of a sudden I continually get this error.

It doesn?t seem to matter whether I enable Nero in DVD Shrink or use it as a stand alone program. The error is essentially the same.
This only happens with DVD's. Data and music still burn just fine. Now every so often a movie will burn @ 2.4, but no longer any faster even though my DVD Burner, (Slimtype DVDRW SOSW-852S) is capable of burning at 8x, and I have both 4x and 8x blank media. The laptop it is in is brand new, equipped with XP home SP2, 512 ram, 1.8 GHz Centrino. The firmware is up to date, I have uninstalled and reinstalled both programs just in case they developed errors, the ASPI is working properly and Nero is the latest version, bought and paid for...not a pirated copy.
Please help me Mr. Wizard :(
