first time riping dvd i ripped the flim direct from the drive as it was one of the imported region 0 macrovision free discs. problem is that the final output file when there is fast movement there is like lines across thescreen it is fine with still images but these lines are annoying me. i ripped the film using dvd 2 avi i ripped it right to a avi divx file i have tried fast motion and slow motion. after i have ripped the file 2 divx i use tmpgenc to convert it to vcd. but no matter what i do there are still lines on every dvd i rip, help plz guys??

Have you used deinterlace option? It might help.
