I tried ripping a rented dvd today and it came out all scrambled. I used DVDX2.0 but i tried with all the other programs too and it won't work. Is there a way I can uninstall and reinstall my dvd drive? And are we supposed to be able to watch rented dvds on comps or is it against the law? Thanks for ur help!

There is nothing wrong with watching rented DVDs on a comp anywhere in the world!

Does the DVD play normally on ur PC?
In not, re-install the DVD-ROM drivers.
Then check the DVD's region code(Usually at the back of the DVD cover). Make sure ur DVD-ROM supports the same code.
