Ok sweet thanks, but I see version 1-6 , 7+ and I see Option... for starters what do these mean? the version you your ps2? I have version 7+ and if there is not a patch for version 7+ does that mean there is no patch needed to play online?

Also if the game is not listed, does that mean the game does not need to be patched?

WWE SmackDown Vs. RAW

MX vs. ATV Unleashed

are the 2 games I am talking about..

Thanks sooo much, *REMBMER IM NEW TO THIS* lol.

I think Jag meant that you have to burn it different because your using swap magic, also i think he said if you have a modchip you don't have to, but I though i read somewhere that you still had to patch even with a modchip. Someone correct me if i'm wrong, I don't play games online cause i can't get broadband here in the " sticks".

1. Start DVD Decrypter
2. Mode > ISO > Read
3. Select Destination
4. Push the button to start reading
5. End up with .MDS and .ISO files
6. Mode > ISO > Write
7. Select .MDS file
8. Push button to begin writting.

After I do all this to back up the game... do I patch it before I actualy burn it or after I acutaly burn it?

Please ignore jagman.

If you recently bought the Swap Magic discs, then they are either the 3.3 or 3.6 set. That means most games will work directly without patching, rebuilding, or loaders; just copy the game exactly as you normally would.

A handful of games *do* need patching to work, but they are few and far in-between. You can check my list here to see which ones need to be patched: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/176791

Ignore swapmagicfix.com entirely because that site only applies to the outdated 2.0 (or 3.2, which has the 2.0 DVD) set. Anyone who buys a decently recent copy of Swap Magic will only be confused by that site.

As for WWE SmackDown Vs. RAW and MX vs. ATV Unleashed -- I haven't tested either personally, but other people report that both work fine with the Swap Magic discs.
