Please can anybody help me. I am trying to rip from dvd and convert to vcd.

I am using DVDX version 2 so I making a mpeg first. I ripping with subtitiles as well. The problem lies with the audio to the mpeg.

When there is speech from the actors, their voices seem to stop abruptly. They finish the full sentence almost apart from maybe the final sound in a word, for example the word "actor" will almost sound like "acto".

Please can anybody offer any solutions to this problem using DVDX or any other easy ripper software that is as easy to use as DVDX.

I would use DUP DVD but I don't have 4 gig free on my hard drive.

Thanks all.
