First i would like to said Sorry if this post had already been posted, but there is like a hundred of posted here. Okay, a lot of people are saying that dvd-r works better than dvd+r, But i've been using dvd+r with swap magic and is working fine. So, which is better? or maybe more harmful to the laser len? thanks.

I use -R kuz there cheaper.
+R seem to have a longer life though.

depends what u wanna use them for, ps2 backups should be on -r generally.

I use some cheap +R media with my sm 3.3. Teon brand. Works great for me.

i think version 1 through 7 can only read -r, while versions 8+ can read both formats. id say -r because ive yet to see anything not compatable with a -r.

I should have read before I tried putting my games on dvd+r I went through about 9 coasters, then went out and bought some dvd-r's they work really well.

Always live in the now... you never know when you won''t wake up. I own swap magic version 3.6 and use dvd decrypter and alcohol 120%.

Its weird my Ver 7 can read backup movies on dvd+r but not games backup, games only on dvd-r
