My friend brought me God of War from Malaysia to play on my chipped ps2.
Sadly it freezes graphically (sound still plays) at the start of Pandora's bridge level.

Its a single layer disc and thus a Malaysian dodgy copy despite a great cover and printed picture on the disc.

Thus I presume all these ones sold over in Malaysia must freeze.

Anyone got any ideas how to fix?
or an xport/gameshark save after Pandora's bridge level?

Any help appreciated...

hey deadbody, did you create a new copy using your bad copy that freezes at pandoras temple.

If you did it with the bad copy could you tell me how you did it.

I am looking at the link you have posted, and it seems i need to download a torrent file. if it is not the case, can i create good copy by using my bad copy.

thanks

yes I did create a new copy using my bad copy that freezes at pandoras temple. And now its freezes no more. U need a bunch of software to create that though.

You will need
1)dvd decrypter (available at software page of this forum)
2)cddvdgen (available at Emule)
3)apache 2 (available via free register www.backuptools.co.uk)
4)SONIX GOD OF WAR TOOL (www.backuptools.co.uk) thanks sonix

and than follow "Jizmak theory"(available at the page 1 of this whole forum thanks jizmak) to create a new copy and make sure u burn that new copy at no more than 2x speed.

be wanred it gona stuck again at loading screen after getting the red necklace near the end where u need to turn the PS2 vertical position also "turn off the soften" from the option menu and it gona load after 3 to 5 mins. Than u can "turn on the soften" again after it loads.

good luck.
