Not able to play any clip from the timeline section in PowerDirector 4.0

I am not able to play any clip from the timeline section of PowerDirector 4.0. I observed that I am able to play after reseting the display resolution to 1024*768; however, I am not able to play at higher resolution like 1600*1250.
