I am making a fan-edit of a movie. I have been successfully using DVD Decrypter and Mpeg Video Wizard to edit the video and audio - deleting scenes, moving scenes around - but I have struck a problem when it comes to subtitles.

The subtitles are English subtitles which are needed in a few scenes, and therefore can be "burned" in. I have not found a way using DVD Decrypter and MVW to do this.

I tried to get around this by using AutoGK to create an .avi with the subtitles burned in, and then to use this in MVW. The first part worked, but when trying to edit the .avi file in MVW together with all the work I have done with .VOB files, the cuts/edits I make in the .avi keep getting lost.

Can anyone suggest a better way to do this using the programs I've mentioned, or other programs that I can use on a trial basis. This is a one off project and I'm stumped at the moment.

Thanks.
