I recently seen on a site that someone used duct-tape on there new Slim PS2 (Model SCPH-70012)as a mod , with swap magid 3 and it worked. I was just wondering , is that possible and if so , where can i read instructions for this , or if someone can tell me here. Thanks

I have done it to two slimlines and it is easy. Though I've read reports in this forum that you could break your on/off switch. But, if you want to do it here it is.

Unplup your ps2 and flip upside down. Then take a micro screw driver (reg flat one) and pop out those little squares on the bottom (there should be 6 or 8) with screws underneath, but don't pry them if they are glued theyll come out easy. then unscrew with a small phillips screwdriver. after that be very carefull and work the front of the ps2 apart making sure that you have the back against your stomache so as to not tear the warranty seal. when it releases open it like a book using the seal as a hinge but be carefull. take an old cd or other thin plastic and jam the switch that is in the center back then tape. By the on/off switch tape that switch (in the back that is black) down. close it and jam the cd stop open (the little pad that stops the cd.) plug in and use.
