Hi all,
I have spent a lot of time troubleshooting this, so maybe I have some info here helpful to others.

I want to make DVD slideshows that will play on my laptop, TV, or a digital projector using the laptop. I am using my desktop to build the slideshows. The Slideshow program has many transition styles, I want to use the zooms and pans sometimes and have built such shows. Shows I have burned to DVD will play back fine on my desktop PC, and TV. Will not on the laptop..the zooms and pans are jerky/choppy. Only these transitions play poorly, fades play fine. Music plays fine.

I have played a commercial DVD successfully on TV and Desktop and had the same jerky problems on the laptop, so it is not the DVD program or media I am using. It is the laptop.

Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop
Pen 4
RAM 768
2.66 mhz
Win XP home
Intervideo Win DVD4 software

I've beem reading something about IDE channels, but I'm not absolutely clear what to do on the laptop or if this could be the problem.

The only other thing I can think of is to upgrade the DVD player software on laptop.

Is there something else I'm missing?

Any help is much appreciated.
