Well having a guuuuuuud day 2day cause i just woke up and my cd drive is fucked, tried opening it and it won't open plus its making some really bad screeching sound and won't load the dvd already in the ps2. On this i would have to get it repaired but i was wondering if there is neway to boot up my harddrive on my ps2 without using the cd drive?

I have heard of memory card exploit but don't fully understnad how it is supposed to work...

I don't know a lot about the memory card exploit, but I know you need a PS1 game to do it. You will have to get it repaired, hombre. Sorry ... ;-(

NO way man dont get it repaired. I DONT eve USE a cd drive on my ps2. I play it basically half way taken apart. It is very easy to swap games in and out. Take ur ps2 apart even if u fuk the drive up even more. Just dont screw up the eye or pull the ribbon cable out. Then post back.

I once had this prob it's an easy fix. Just open up the PS2 and the cd drive. Then on the left side of the cd tray take out those to small screws and take out the tray. Then on the right side (presuming the drives right in front of you) you see a moter then a long metal rod that has like a track on it that comes from it. You should also see a plastic thing going to it from the laser. First put some WD-40 on it. Make sure to cover the lazer with something. Now plug it in but, don't put it back together. And put something on the laser so it won't blind you when you turn it on. Before you turn it on move the lazer up from the middle part the thing that spins the cd's. when you turn it on if the lazer goes down then you hear the screching sound lift up the plastic plastic thing from the rod and move it back a little then put it back on the rod with the track. Start the Ps2 up again if it does it again repeat the process of moving it up. If It dosen't go all the way down then move it down.
