can anyone tell me how i can turn a ripped movie into an avi or mpeg file, i ripped with dvd decryptor but now want to change it to a file that can be shared on winmx. i am assuming it must be possible otherwise there would be no movies shared in winmx but i am completely clueless on how to do it.

thanks just found it gonna give it a try,
one other question tho, is there a way to make my dvd drive region free. i had problems using dvd decryptor because i had my drive set to region 2 when i was trying to rip a region 1 movie, im living in america now and i have a load of english dvd's with me so i dont really want to keep changing my drives region as it only gives me six times to change it.

You should be able to find your region free firmware here if your drive has one.
