Not reading HD loader Hardware

I had a friend of mine put GT4 on my hard drive, now when i put it back into my ps2 it makes a cross between a clicking noise and a beeping noise. And when HD loader finally boots up it says cannot read HD loader hardware. Anyone know what the problem is? Thanks

Make sure that none of the pins are bent on the hard drive.

If your HD is clicking it isn't good. You can try taking it out and smacking it one time. Most likely the little clip with the reader on it is stuck. Time for a new HD my friend
