Cant convert mpeg to dvd using tmpgench dvd author 1.6

I am using tmpgenc dvd author to convert mpeg to dvd using dvd+r. When i go to begin output it and asks me to create a folder in the drive it says it cant create it. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I am using verbatim dvd+r 8 x with an NEC 3520A dvd drive. When i click on the drive it says e: is not accesible. Incorrect Function.
