New to PS2 backup and so far have had no success :-(
DVD burner is a "LG GSA-4040B DVD±R/RW/RAM".
Keep getting this "Not a valid PS2 disc" problem whilst trying to backup "Amplitude". To back it up I have tried two different types of media "Verbatim and Ridisc" using the following "DVD Decrypter" method:-
1) Insert original disc and open DVD decrypter.
2) Select Mode > Iso > Read and save the files to hdd.
3) When complete, select Mode > Iso > Write and burn at 1x speed.
When finished the above, to test if the backup has worked I try it in my PS2 using my Fliptop & SwapMagic v3.6... I let SwapMagic load then put in the backup I have just made, hit X and get "Not a valid PS2 disc"
Hope someone can help cuz i am about ready to throw my PS2 out of the window & set my swapmagic disc on fire!
Try burning a wee bit faster, i know people say burn as slow as you can but thats not always the case, also wgat version of ps2 you using and what disc's you using -/+?
is that game a dvd-rom or compact disc because if it is a compact disc it will not work on DVD Decrypter. i am having the same thing won't work,is there any freeware out there that can do this.
backup my compact disc games.
please.
thanks
What version PS2 do you have, some dont take to well to dvd+R, I had same prob, then switched to dvd-r's and they work perfect, but, I can play dvd+r movies on mine, not games. wierd...
Save the PS2 files to your hdd with DVD Decrypter.
Now, insert a blank DVD and look at the panel on the right and look at SUPPORTED SPEEDS your disc wont work unless you burn at a speed that the DVD supports. ;)
