Okay so I have a v12 ps2 that I modded myself with a matrix infinity. Works great. Now my buddy wants me to mod his ps2. Here's what we have going on.

SCPH-50001/N

DMS3 chip

HDD kit with a 120 IDE

Where the hell do I begin??? My v12 can't take a hard drive so I don't use one on it and am not familiar with how to load games from the hd ect.

Where can I find a tutorial on where to solder the chip, how to make the hard drive fit in the system (the IDE and power connector do not line up) and how to set up the HD and chip properly!???

Thanks in advance for any help

If the IDE and power connectors do not line up it is likely a Western Digital hard drive and support for it will be flakey at best. Recommended switching to a Maxtor HDD. You connect it through the network adapter and simply slide it into the bay after doing so. Other than that, all you need is a copy of HD Loader or HD Advance and the HDD will be good to go. Check www.dms3.com for diagrams for soldering points for that model PS2.
