Hi,

I did a search, but I couldn't see this anywhere. I bought a pre-modded PS2, but the guy wasn't sure what chip was in it (he _thinks_ it was a "Matrix MXL4"). It plays everything i've fed it just by putting it in, no mucking about with buttons etc. PS1 PAL and NTSC, PS2 PAL and NTSC, as well as normal DVD movies all work. I managed to turn the chip off by holding down the reset switch until the boot sequence had finished. In addition to the "Playstation 2" logo after a disk is inserted, the information "MX2 V1.1" appears when the chip is on.

I would be very grateful if someone could identify my chip for me! I want to check up on compatability.
