Pixelization on Sony DVD Player, but not Xbox

I downloaded a movie onto a Verbatim DVD+R DL. When I got to play it on my Sony DVD Player, there is quite a bit of pixelization, skipping, etc. When I go to play the movie on my Xbox, it plays through fine like it should. Any ideas on why this is??
