let me explain better. When I used DVD Decrypter and place a regular DVD on my dvd burner drive, the program will recognized the dvd and works fine but when I try to load a PS2 dvd game on my drive, the program will not recognized the game and it gives me an error, any help please!!!!
The modes are different for movies and games.
Here is how to copy games with DVD Decrypter.
Use Quality Media I use
Verbatim dvd+r
***** BURN AT NO MORE THAN 2X****** <-----------(IMPORTANT)
TURN OFF ANY BACKGROUND APPLICATIONS
1. Take the ps2 game put it in the dvd rom or dvd burner, your choice.
2. open the dvd decryptor program then go to to tool bar and hit MODE>ISO>READ. Then choose the correct dvd drive that the game is in as the "source". Also choose where you want the files to be stored on the pc hdd. THEN CLICK DECRYPT , or the huge graphical picture at the bottom of the program which makes it run. The game is now copying to your HDD. Take the game out when finished (it might take a while).
3. Go to the same tab in dvd decryptor and choose MODE>ISO>WRITE. This will then let you look for the files you just created in step 2. Select the file that you just created. (There is only 2 files creadted so pick the .mds) (The smaller file)Then click WRITE, make sure there is blank DVD in the drive.
Hi, i did follow this step:
"open the dvd decryptor program then go to to tool bar and hit MODE>ISO>READ. Then choose the correct dvd drive that the game is in as the source"
but when I want to find the source (game already place on the dvd writer) the program can not find the dvd writer anymore, It will give me an error, no dvd writer found. this happened with any PS2 dvd game. now when I take the game out and follow the same step above, the program will recognized the dvd writer right away. New help please!!!!!! thank you
you know, this sounds more like a hardware problem than softwae problem.
And by the way, have u downloaded the latest version of DVD Decrypter? That might help.
Ok this will able to tell if the problem is software or hardware.
When you insert a PS2 game into the tray. Launch Windows Explorer to see if you can access the content of the disc by that way. If you can do that, but you cannot do that with DVD Decrypter, then the problem is the software. But if you cannot read it in windows explorer, then the problem is your DVD Writer.
hi all,
what shall i do when my dvd burner can not write at 1x speed ?
i used DVD Decrypter 3.5.4 and media is dvd+r verbatim and dvdburner pioneer dvd109. DVD Decrypter only detects that the Supported Write Speeds: 2.4x, 4x, evne if i specified the write speed at 1x but when it write, it still write at 4x speed and the result of that is my mod ps2 laser can not recognise the disc. Even when i tried at 2.4x speed, the laser still can't recognise the disc. I really want to burn @ 1 speed to see if the laser works. Please help. The log from DVD Decrypter as below:

In order to burn 1x, your WRITER first must support 1x speed burning, 2nd your media must also support 1x. U can check the speed compatibility chart on your writer's manufacturer website.
