I have been using Prodisc Printable Media and I have a Lite On Burner. Ive updated the firmware, and even uninstall and reinstall both decrypter and shrink. So here are the errors Ive been getting, fyi i was able to burn 4 good dvds and the rest since have been coasters, like 10 of them, I know i should be using RWs but please help me if you can.

Hi koz212002,

I know this doesn't solve your problem but my litey doesn't like prodisc media at all. My set top players wouldn't even recognize them. My benq burns them just fine. For printable media I use Verbatum datalifeplus (media code MCC003) or Taiyo Yuden (media code YUDEN000T02) with my litey.

My Litey does not like Prodisc either - hit or miss.
Are you backing up a back up or is this an original? Either way your burner is detecting an error (I/O) in the disc your are trying to copy. Since you have used both bbmayo & scuba pete's guides it sounds like you will need to get another copy. As we speak (thanks to Scuba pete's 'hard to rip dvd's guide and using decrypter only) I have finished backing up a bad copy of Cold Mountain that was done a Princo (awful media) disc. This probably doesn't help you but if you haven't tried Scuba Pete's hard to rip guide your might give that a try.
Good Luck!

So other than trying the hard to rip guide, I should change media? Ive heard from two so far, but is this common that certain players dont like certain disks, or is there more to it? Thanks.

Hi koz212002, welcome to aD,

It may well be a problem with the drive BUT Prodisc are a problem in general.

Unfortunately they fall into the poor disc category. Try using some TY's, on sale today for $.24 ea at Mertline.com. There is no way in the entire world you can beat TY's at this price. Second, Verbatim discs, same place for $10.00 off a 25-pack OR $20.00 off a 50-pack.

Then you'll have discs that everyone's drive likes (Lol)

Believe me, good media makes all the difference -

Cheers,

Pete
