Hi

My son has a chiped PS1, dont know what chip it is. Someone put it in for me over a year ago.

We can play our old back ups and the ones i created a few mths ago. But cant get the new ones to work.. My son destroys everything he touches so i want to copy all of his games and hide the orginals.

I have tried heaps of programs: clone cd, nero, Alchol 120%, Record Now DX, and more. But none are working.

My sister copied one for me today using Record Now DX and i tested it on her playstation and worked. But when i got home nothing. But turn on and off heaps of times you can get up the black Playstation screen instead of the other 2 i get(insert playstation formatted disk, and cd player/memory card screens).

So i'm thinking maybe my copies worked but the laser or chip is not working properly? Plays originals fine and the older copies but new ones just dont work. I have no idea what chip i have, paid someone to put it in over a year ago.

Please help, I'm a beginner......
