hey i just got a new game ghost recon 2 and the game won't work it gets to the first slash screen "tom clancys ghost recon 2" and the gives an error message some thing like this "an error reading disc has occured please reset the xbox". i tried loading the game with the mod chip on and off but the game still kept coming up with the same message, my xbox is a ver 1.0 modded with the duo x2 and after this i tried it on a friends ver 1.4 with the same chip, same results, lastly i tried it on a 1.6 unmodded and the game works.

can any one help me in getting this game going

So I assume it's an original, not a backup..

Sounds like it's your DVD-ROM. Swap out your buddies with yours and see if it works, if so, I'd shop eBay for a new DVD-ROM
