Do you have the manufacturers ID code from those discs. You can get that info from DVD Decrypter, nero's infotool, dvdinfopro, and dvdidentifier. That will tell us who made those actual discs.
All I could locate from my source list is -1x,made by prodisc.
Keep that burn speed slow.
Here's a free version of dvdinfopro,it will tell you that id code and has a couple of scans so you can check for errors after your burn. It's a very handy program. Sometimes the free version expires, like last week,But then I downloaded it again. You can get it here: http://dvdinfopro.com

I don't always trust what videohelp says. You never know how many different mfgs that may make them,LOL.....
I did see all the bad reviews on that link, pretty scary.

Hey jaskaran, I did have problems with the free version of dvdinfopro. Sometimes it says something like it expired. I just delete it,wait a few days, and then re-download that free version again. I think I've done that 4 or 5 times this year.

i used to use pcline cdr's. (from pcworld in uk). great cd's - crap discs - ie silver flakes all the time, whether new or not. i imagine their dvd's are crap too - i saw a reply above mentioning optodisc which i only ever read to be pants.
